We've been working steadily on the house, replacing dry rot and painting as we go. Yesterday, we had a marathon session, trying to get as much done before the heavy rains came as we could. Today, the rains are here, and we're congratulating our accomplishments with a mellow day by a cozy fire.
I love how cute the house looks in its new colors -- a light gray, a blue-gray for the trim, and a stunningly bright, blue door. The door is so cheerful, it makes me smile each time I glance its way. As you can see from the top left, we're still painting the siding that is original to the house and didn't need to be replaced.
In person, the house colors are so elegant and pretty. I love them! Here's a side by side of the color of the house when we bought it and the progress now. We still have a lot of work left, but at least next weekend is supposed to be beautiful.
